In preparation for the 2026 OHBM Annual Meeting, we recently had the pleasure of visiting Bordeaux, France, the host city for next year’s gathering. Known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and world-renowned wine culture, Bordeaux offers a vibrant and welcoming backdrop for our community of brain mappers.

Our visit centered around the Palais 2 l’Atlantique, the Annual Meeting venue for OHBM 2026. This modern and spacious facility is well-equipped to host the thousands of attendees expected in June. Its location near the Garonne River and the city’s efficient tram system makes it easily accessible, with plenty of nearby hotels, restaurants, and cultural attractions.

During our time in Bordeaux, we also toured locations for our signature networking events including the OHBM 2026 Welcome Reception, Leadership Dinner, and Club Night. We had the opportunity to meet with a variety of local vendors who will be an integral part of creating the OHBM experience.

Beyond logistics, Bordeaux impressed us with its charm. From the Place de la Bourse and the Miroir d’eau to the winding streets of the Saint-Pierre district, the city invites exploration. We sampled local cuisine, toured historic landmarks, and even visited with a few OHBM members to discuss their current research at the University of Bordeaux.

The OHBM Annual Meeting is more than a conference - it’s a chance to connect, collaborate, and be inspired. Bordeaux’s blend of innovation and tradition makes it the perfect setting for this exchange. We can’t wait to welcome you there from June 14–18, 2026!

Stay tuned for more updates as planning continues. À bientôt!
